About the Author
Six Roma Nova full-length novels have been awarded the BRAG Medallion. SUCCESSIO, AURELIA, INSURRECTIO and JULIA PRIMA have been selected as Historical Novel Society's Editors' Choices. A 'Roman nut' since age 11, Alison has misspent decades clambering over Roman sites throughout Europe. She blends her fascination for Ancient Rome with six years' military service and a life of reading crime, historical and thriller fiction. On the way, she collected a BA in modern languages and an MA in history. She continues to blog about Romans and writing.
Now she continues to write thrillers, cultivates a Roman herb garden and drinks wine in France with her husband.
