About the Author

Elaine Vickers is an award-winning author of picture books (Thankful, How to Make a Memory) as well as novels for middle graders (Like Magic, Paper Chains, Half Moon Summer) and young adults (Fadeaway, Where There's Smoke). She lives in southern Utah with her husband and three kids, where she spends her time writing, teaching college chemistry, and exploring in the lab and in the great outdoors.
