About the Author

Kate Vogt is an author and teacher who reframes ancient teachings and earth wisdom in accessible and practical ways. Her living wisdom practices, rooted in her childhood on a farm in western Kansas and honed over decades of subsequent study and practice, are designed to increase reverence, personal contentment and collective well-being.

She is the author of three books, Mala of the Heart: 108 Sacred Poems and Mala of Love: 108 Luminous Poems (both edited with Ravi Nathwani), and Our Inherited Wisdom: 54 Inspirations from Nature and Poetry. Her writing has been featured in Yoga Journal, Integral Yoga Magazine, UK Yoga & Health Magazine, and Embodied Philosophy’s “Voices.”

During this time of great cultural shifting, many of us are being called to deepen and integrate our spiritual life with our responsibilities to our daily life and to our planet. What if you could live the wisdom you’ve gained in books, workshops, and retreats in a simple, grounded, every day way? What if nature could be your window to living with wisdom’s eyes? Kate’s books, classes, groups, and mentoring can help you live wisdom every day. You can connect with her at www.katevogt.com

Reviews

"With elegance, Kate interweaves the best of world poetry with images, personal reflection, and meditation instructions. This book will enhance every salon who embraces its wisdom as part of a weekly study group, every Yoga class, every university classroom that uses this resource as a way of centering students. Sublime!"

Christopher Key Chapple, PhD; Author, "In Praise of Mother Earth: The Pṛihivī Sūkta of the Atharva Veda" and others; Doshi Professor of Indic and Comparative Theology, Loyola Marymount University

"Kate's writing illuminates the deep yet often ignored healing power embedded in communing directly with animals, sky, water, plants, and aspects of ourselves. It's easier than ever for 21st century humans to overlook or lose sight of what's true and essential. These grace-filled pages will call you back again and again when you need to remember."

Sharon Rosen, Author, "Crazy World, Peaceful Heart"; Healer and Coach

"Kate Vogt's persuasive reflections testify that she is here to gently, but firmly, guide our distracted and lost souls back home, not just for our sake and deep healing, but also for the sake of our teetering Earth Mother, our kin and all future generations."

Loraine Van Tuyl, PhD, CHT; Author, "The Amazon Keeper: A Psychologist's Memoir of Spiritual Awakening"; Holistic Psychologist, Shamanic Practitioner, and Founder of The Sacred Healing Well
