In rare form, Mark uses this title to deliver both critical personal defense lessons as well as timeless life lessons to apply daily. I really enjoyed the varied real-life examples coupled with suggestions on ways to switch your mindset and/or response. It just does not disappoint! -Anitra Anderson
Mark Winn delivers an eye-opening read that encourages redefinition, transformation, and encouragement to be your best self! A must read that teaches you to take a step-by-step approach to focus, remove doubt and imagine the possible! -Grace Gipson, Ph.D.
Just finished the book and I really like the analogy that being like water is about mindfulness. While the book offers some really good ways to be more aware of your surroundings. It's the mindfulness that hit home for me. -Sandie Cotman
Mark Winn's book, Not A Victim But a Warrior is like the man and the martial science he teaches. It's practical. Everything here is pressure tested. It
works or it's not in there. As a 34-year veteran teacher, I particularly like the broad application of the instruction. Mark takes Krav Maga out of the
school and applies it to daily life in such a way as to render most physical altercations unnecessary. These are lessons that can give you a safer and
happier life. I think Sun Tzu would approve. -James Weigand
"Not a Victim But a Warrior" is an amazing read into the personal power that we each possess when we take the concepts of Krav Maga and implement its teachings in our lives. Mark is a seasoned Instructor with years of experience and insight to guide anyone toward maximizing their full potential and achieving true well-rounded success. This is a 'Must Read' for anyone looking to take the leap towards gaining a Warrior's mentality when combating the struggles of life. -Sherlyne Thomas
I found the book "Not a Victim But a Warrior" to be a very engaging and informative read. As someone who has no prior knowledge of self-defence, I found the analogies very easy to connect. I loved the concept of the murky water and the necessity to remove ourselves from other people in order to gain clarity- this is something I can identify with as I remember certain circumstances that I have been in. I also loved the imagery of being fluid, like flowing water, and as someone who thinks in pictures, this will be my biggest takeaway as a life lesson.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this book as a read for all ages and stages of life and the only question I see is how many takeaways each person will have as they reference the content to themselves and their lives. Well done Mark for this excellent book. -Claire McDowell
