Deeply impacting and shocking in its sincerity--your very beliefs will be shaken to the core after reading this novel.

My first read through Muted Grey left me riveted in my seat! I found that the more I sat there thinking about the meaning of this novel, the more I wanted to read it again. And I did. Now two days later I find that my thoughts keep drifting back to Muted Grey.

This may be one of the best books I have read this year. For a first time writer, Dianna Young has done a remarkable job of shocking my beliefs and has clearly left her mark on the literature world.

--I was so mesmerized I could not put it down. The author introduces a new character in each chapter. At first I found it a bit perplexing. I soon realized there was a thread that would tie them all together. The plot takes a surprising twist about three quarters of the way through. This is a very thought provoking book. The size of this book prevents me from sharing a hint as to what happens in this tale. I do not want to ruin this real treat for other readers. I do know that the subject matter will not leave for a long time after you close the book. This book is a must read.

[A] highly engaging tale of how people's choices affect their lives and their happiness. The plot will bring you in and keep you reading until the very last page. Muted Grey is the first novel from Dianna Young, and by all means a great first book that will likely be followed by many more.

FIVE STARS FOR MUTED GREY -- It's devastating to find out you have nothing when you had everything. "Muted Grey" is the story of Marah Edom as she copes with the reality of her life, facing what she left behind as she pursued her supposed dreams. As the demons catch up, they find her with a vengeance, and she is left to face them once and for all. " Muted Grey" is a fine study and finely recommended for general fiction collections.

About half way through the book, the "lights turned on" and I realized where the story was going and what was happening to each of the people I had been reading about. In the end, Ms. Young ties all of it together with a powerful message of hope even in the midst of regret.

I was quite moved by its content and I would recommend reading this powerful little book about how lives can be changed . . .
