About the Author
Alec Wightman is a senior partner in the national law firm of BakerHostetler, with a long career as a corporate lawyer and a member of the firm's management. Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Alec graduated from Duke University in 1972 and the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University in 1975. With a lifelong passion for music, he formed Zeppelin Productions, Inc., in 1995, beginning twenty-six years of promoting national act singer-songwriter concerts in Columbus, Ohio. Alec has been a member of the board of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame since 2004, serving as chair from 2013 to 2016. He remains active with the Rock Hall, including as a co-chair of its current capital campaign, and as a member of the board of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. He is also a director of the Ohio State University Foundation, a member of the Duke Performances advisory board, and a director of the Columbus Music Commission. Alec and his wife, Kathy, live in the German Village area of Columbus and have two grown daughters, Nora and Emily.
