About the Author

Richard is a writer and academic editor who's living proof that abstract concepts like 'impostor syndrome' can be physically animated-not unlike an alchemist's homunculus-and given jobs like 'writer' and 'editor.' He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and cat in a house built in the year the first science fiction film, 'A Trip to the Moon, ' was released. Displacement is his second novel.

Reviews

"A complex and tangled story intense with significance. Highly recommended."

--Farah Mendlesohn, Hugo Award-winning editor of The Cambridge Companion to Science Fiction and author of A Short History of Fantasy

"A clever and compelling mash-up of magical realism and fantasy, Mouse will hold you in its mystical grip until the very last page."

--Deb Loughead, author of The Snowball Effect and The Secrets We Keep

"Beautifully written, part ghost-story, part mystery, part love letter to anime and part mind-expanding exploration of teen relationships, the wonderful novel Mouse is unputdownable. From the opening interactions between Mouse, Bliss, Anna and Kai to the final gorgeous pages and surprising endings, and beginnings all over again, this is a book that will make you believe in the impossible."

--Alice Kuipers, award-winning author of Life on the Refrigerator Door
