About the Author
Mark Gitenstein is a retired American politician who served as the US Ambassador to Romania. He was nominated by President Barack Obama in 2009, and confirmed by the US Senate shortly thereafter. He also served as Chief Counsel to the US Senate Committee on the Judicary, and also as Counsel to the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. He is the author of Matters of Principle.
