About the Author
NATALIE ROMPELLA, a former museum educator and elementary and middle school teacher, is the author of more than forty books and educational guides for young readers and the winner of a Work-in-Progress grant from the Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She is a longtime insect aficionado whose books include Don't Squash That Bug!: The Curious Kid's Guide to Insects (2007).
Alessia Girasole was born in Milan, Italy where she currently resides. She has been drawing since early childhood and realized early on that she would turn her hobby into a rewarding career as an illustrator. After graduating at the European Institute of Design in Milan, with a major in Illustration and Multimedia Animation, she decided to focus on illustrating for children. Nowadays, she spends most of her time with her two favorite and very close mates: her MAC and Neve, a faithful Labrador retriever.
