About the Author
June Foster is an author and deckhand in the yachting industry. In 2018, she published The Girl and the Golden Leaf, a suspense novel that touches upon poverty and human trafficking and has been optioned for a film production. June is currently writing a short-story collection with a writer from Garissa, Kenya, and has completed two children's illustration books with Rob Scheer, Founder of Comfort Cases. Through her online store, www.yachtieinspired.com and other ventures, she is able to support a variety of children and conservation organizations. June's passions are storytelling, child advocacy and conservation. Her stories reflect her love and concern for those in need, especially children, across the world. Through suspense and adventure storytelling, it is her greatest hope to give a voice to those who are oppressed, those who suffer, and those who are silenced. To learn more about her heartfelt stories, please visit her website at www.junenfoster.com. Rob Scheer is the CEO of Comfort Cases and the author of A Forever Family: Fostering Change One Child at a Time. Growing up in foster care, Rob remembered feeling disposable as a child carrying a trash bag to his foster home. In 2013, the Scheer family set out on a mission to eliminate the use of trash bags and provide children entering the foster system with brand new essential and comfort items. To date, Comfort Cases has positively impacted over 110,000 children, and has recently opened a chapter in the United Kingdom. Comfort Cases has been featured on The Ellen Show, The Today Show, The View, and NBC Nightly News. In 2018 Rob Scheer was named one of CNN's Heroes. Rob lives in Maryland with his husband, Reece, and their five children from the foster care system. To learn more, please visit www.comfortcases.org and www.Scheerfocus.com.
