About the Author

Seanan McGuire is an American author living and working in the Pacific Northwest, where she shares a rambling house with far too many cats and sufficient books to qualify her home as a library. When not writing, she plays far too much Overwatch, and is primarily a D.va and Mercy main. Seanan's books have been released globally, and translated into well over a dozen languages. In 2013, she became the first person ever to appear five times on the same Hugo ballot. Seanan is very fond of corn mazes, haunted attractions, and wandering into swamps.
E. Lily Yu has published short fiction in venues from McSweeney's to Tor.com. Her work has appeared in twelve best-of anthologies and been finalists for the Hugo, Nebula, Locus, Sturgeon, and World Fantasy Awards. Yu received the Artist Trust/LaSalle Storyteller Award in 2017 and the Astounding Award for Best New Writer in 2012. She has lived on both coasts and holds degrees from Princeton and Cornell. Her debut novel, On Fragile Waves, was published by Erewhon Books in 2021.
John Joseph Adams is the series editor of Best American Science Fiction & Fantasy. He is also the bestselling editor of many other anthologies, such as The Mad Scientist's Guide to World Domination, Armored, Brave New Worlds, Wastelands, and The Living Dead. Recent books include The Apocalypse Triptych (consisting of The End is Nigh, The End is Now, and The End Has Come), and series editor for The Best American Fantasy and Science Fiction. John is a two-time winner of the Hugo Award and is a six-time World Fantasy Award finalist. John is also the editor and publisher of the digital magazines Lightspeed and Nightmare, and is a producer for WIRED's The Geek's Guide to the Galaxy podcast.
