About the Author

Cheri J. Meiners, M.Ed., has her master's degree in elementary education and gifted education. A former first-grade teacher, she has taught education classes at Utah State University and has supervised student teachers.

Cheri and her husband, David, have six children and enjoy the lively company of their grandchildren. They live in St. George, Utah.

Meredith Johnson has worked for over twenty years as the art director at an advertising agency.

She is also the illustrator of over 120 children's picture books, including Free Spirit's popular Learning to Get Along(R) series.

Meredith lives with her family in La Cañada, California.
