About the Author
David Carlson is Professor Emeritus (Religious Studies) at Franklin College where he served for forty-two years. With the study of religious violence being one of his specialties, David has lectured and given radio and television interviews on ISIS, Al-Qaeda, as well as religious extremists in the US. Now retired, David enjoys writing non-fiction related to interfaith efforts; a weekly newspaper column on religion, politics, and culture; and the Christopher Worthy and Father Fortis mystery series. His wife, Kathy, is a retired English professor, an award-winning artist, and his best editor. Their two sons took parental advice to follow their passions. Leif is a visual artist and Marten is a screenwriter and filmmaker.
