About the Author
Dan Mann is the President of The Mann Group, the company he founded in 2003. After writing dozens of training manuals for his clients (Thule, Camelbak, Untuckit, Sun and Ski Sports, Fleet Feet Sports, Canyon Bicycles, Shimano, Brooks Running, Altra Running, CCA Global Partners, etc.) he finally decided in 2017 to write his first book: "ORBiT-The Art and Science of Influence", widely used as a resource for professional managers and trainers everywhere. Dan is a highly sought-after public speaker. He's presented thousands of keynote speeches for groups such as: The Travel and Adventure Show, The Running Event, IFTD/AFFTA, Interbike, National Shoe Retailers Association, Adidas, Wolverine, Vans, MacPac and The Surf Expo. He's spoken in all 50 states as well as in Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. His new book, "Leading Change: How to achieve superior results through Gentle Pressure Relentlessly Applied" was written because of his life-long career in leading teams. Teaching, training, and leading teams has been his passion since he started his career as a High School teacher in Selma, Alabama. Dan has taught or coached History, Art, Music, Karate, Choir, Calligraphy, Clowning, Public Speaking, Guitar, Basketball, Customer Service and Retail Sales. In fact, once he develops a passion for a new skill, it seems he sets about to teach it. He says his highest passion is teaching others, how to teach. These days, his passions are on camping (in the 20-year-old RV that he and Leslie renovated), Bourbon collecting, music, Smoked meats, bicycling, cooking, fountain pens and talking about all of these things to anyone that will listen.
