KARI ALLEN is the author of The Boy Who Loved Maps and The Bee Gees: A Little Golden Book Biography. She has worked with the National Writing Project in New Hampshire to coordinate writing camps and facilitate creative workshops, and is currently a second-grade teacher.

JOANIE STONE was born and raised in Virginia, where she still lives today with her husband and young daughter. She spends her days painting in her studio in the country, surrounded by nature.
