About the Author
Stephen K. Stanford has been a serial entrepreneur since the age of twenty-one, launching numerous projects in the arts, fashion and music industries. He fell in love with books as a child, devouring his fathers' vast 'golden age' sci-fi collection, and lives in Melbourne with his wife and two highly truculent Siamese cats.
Reviews
"A pair of detectives venture into an AI-ruled parallel universe to discreetly recover the body of a politician's son--a job that proves trickier than they'd first thought, especially as they start to realize the attraction between them."--Gizmodo
"An amusing and fast-paced saga sure to please fans of classic space opera."--Publishers Weekly
"Jubilee is the sort of book that will please both regular readers of non-intrusive space opera adventure as well as those looking for the pointed social critiques of the coolest New Wave sf. And which is as entertaining a look at human foibles as any crime novel written by Elmore Leonard. Stanford's writing is infectious, readable stuff. Ideas and action flow nicely, the characters pop, the situations veer from light to dark and back again with ease, and the book balances beach read readability, grit, and satiric punch."--ConsideringStories
"Jubilee is a breath of fresh air in a genre that seems too often stuck in a pattern of dense stories that tend to take themselves too seriously. Jubilee is just one hell of a ride through a galaxy of excitement and intrigue. Strap on your rocket pack and get ready for the ride of your life!"--A Reviewer Darkly
"Get past the surface pulp romp and into the action, and you find a thoughtful, entertaining adventure that ends with a modern family and new adventures on the horizon."--Everything is Better with Dragons
"Sf fans will enjoy this adventure that takes a look at the future of humans in space. Stanford's debut pushes his characters to the brink while making statements about our current world."--Booklist
"A ripping yarn, fast paced and easy to read."--Medium - Views of Other Planes
"Space operas are a great genre, but can often be staid. You can have fun in space and that is what Jubilee brings to the party. High adventures [and] an interesting mix of gritty world building with some fun characters. I would gladly read more misadventures of Col."--SF Book
