Jonah, the Fearful Prophet
Jonah, The Fearful Prophet shares the account of Jonah who ran from his God-given assignment. Fearful Jonah boarded a ship going far away from where God was sending him. Instead of escaping God, he found himself at the bottom of the sea, praying to God. Given a miraculous second chance, Jonah obeyed and delivered God's message to the people he feared. Even though he was successful, he wasn't happy with the outcome. He still had one more lesson to learn.
Lively illustrations by Kimberly Merritt and colored by Janice D. Green draw the child into this amazing story. Downloadable coloring pages, puzzles, and instructions for making a crayon-colored Bible quilt are also included providing wonderful activities for reinforcement.

The story of Jonah is a powerful way to teach children about sin, how God is a just God and punishes sin, yet offers forgiveness when we repent and say we're sorry. In this retelling of Jonah, these concepts are brought to an elementary-age level in a very practical way perfect for this age to understand.
