About the Author

Lindy is very happily the daughter to loving parents, sister to a supportive brother, sister-in-law to a devoted "sister", aunt to an absolutely amazing nephew and niece and great aunt to two adorable great-nephews and two beautiful great-nieces.Lindy is a graduate of Hobbs High School in New Mexico and Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. She currently lives in Plano, Texas and works for a local convention and visitors bureau that provides opportunities for families, friends, and businesses to enjoy quality time together in unique locations.Lindy developed a love for Jane Austen and all things related a few years ago. That love has spilled over into various Regency Era-related topics including the research of holidays of the era, their origins, how they were celebrated and how they appear in Jane Austen's novels and personal letters. The love of the fire service is also an important part of Lindy's life as her brother and nephew both serve the public with deep commitment and devotion.Lindy's lifelong love of reading is rivaled only by her enthusiasm for writing. Arresting information, a story well told, well written and emotionally impactful to the reader is the definition of a successful book. Whatever the subject, the writing should be heartfelt, real and relatable.
