About the Author
Carmen Boullosa recibió el Premio Xavier Villaurrutia, el Liberaturpreis de la Ciudad de Frankfurt, el Anna Seghers que le otorgó la Academia de las Artes de Berlín por el conjunto de su obra y el Premio de Novela Café Gijón. Su novela Texas -también publicada en esta editorial- fue finalista, en su versión al inglés, al premio PEN Translation Award y obtuvo el Typographical Era. Ha recibido cinco New York Emmys. Fue becaria de la Fundación Guggenheim, del Center for Scholars and Writers de la New York Public Library, profesora en las universidades Georgetown, NYU, Columbia, SDSU, CUNY (City College) y Blaise Pascal. Forma parte del Sistema Nacional de Creadores de México. Sus más recientes publicaciones son Hamartia o Hacha (poemas, Hiperión-UANL) y una novela, Texas. La poeta, novelista, dramaturga y ensayista Carmen Boullosa ha sido galardonada con el Premio Excelencia en las Letras José Emilio Pacheco 2023, otorgado por la Feria Internacional de la Lectura de Yucatán (FIley) y UC-Mexicanistas. Un premio con el que se rinde homenaje a escritores mexicanos por el conjunto de su obra y que recibirá Boullosa en la inauguración de la Feria Internacional de la Lectura Yucatán, el sábado 11 de marzo de 2023.
