Christine Heinrichs has been a professional writer for more than 30 years. She received a B.S. in journalism from the University of Oregon. She has written hundreds of magazine articles for a wide range of publications, from Audubon and Earth Island Journal to Atlas Obscura to Backyard Poultry.
