Reviews

"I was honored to read Jackie's forthcoming book. The practical tips, tools, and explanations within the book truly expanded my understanding of various trauma modalities, aiding my own healing journey. Jackie's comprehensive yet accessible writing style makes complex techniques like EMDR and trauma-informed yoga approachable for all readers. The book's integration of psychology, allopathic medicine, and complementary healing modalities is both inspiring and easy to follow, offering valuable insights and exercises that I can incorporate into my daily practices at OPLM. As a facilitator, Jackie is lauded for her compassion, kind voice, and ability to create a welcoming space free of judgment and fear. Her dedication shines through in this book, making it an essential resource for anyone seeking a holistic approach to trauma recovery."
--Casie Fariello, CEO of Other Parents Like Me and founding member of Parenthood Ventures

"Jackie's book is an incredible resource for those who are tired of getting bogged down in the science of trauma and are left without any healing prescriptions. Inside the pages of her newest book, she magically creates a safe space for one to embody trauma and deftly offers techniques to soothe the whole person. These techniques are backed by science, but the focus is on transmuting trauma into an opportunity for growth and expansion. Jackie is there every step of the way. This book is user friendly for practitioner, therapist, teacher and the individual."
--Christy Abate, co-owner of the Angel Cooperative and the Angel Wing, Reiki and Karuna master, priestess of the Rose Lineage, retreat leader, facilitator, and yoga teacher

"Jackie came out the other side of significant trauma of her own with wisdom, growth, and a loving road map for us all. Sharing her learning, gained through both first hand knowledge and research, Jackie has created a highly accessible, empathetic, and valuable guide on how to thrive, and not just survive trauma and significant stress. Jackie addresses the pain in our bodies, hearts, and minds with a mix of traditional and alternative approaches to growth and healing. She lays out the nature, evidence, and value of these tools and invites us to find our own individual healing combo by taking what we want, and leaving the rest. The beauty is that many of her resources are free and DIY so you can immediately begin to find liberating growth with, and without, a practitioner. Start reading now to have the life you want, and build a life worth living."
--Vanessa Elias, owner and founder of Thrive with a Guide, support group facilitator for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and certified parent coach

"In the world of trauma healing, there is not one path or one magic pill. It is a journey unique to each person. Reading Jackie's book will open your eyes to a variety of possibilities and Jackie's warm and friendly personality shows through as she presents options and information to help your healing."
--Bob Butera, PhD, director of Comprehensive Yoga Therapy at YogaLife Institute and author of The Yoga Life: Applying Comprehensive Yoga Therapy to All Areas of Your Life

"With so many books about healing it's difficult to find one written in such a way that it brings together physical, metaphysical, mental, and emotional methods in an integrative, comprehensive way. Jacqueline has done that and more! Even if you haven't experienced extreme trauma, this book is for you--it is an honest and personal approach to help you facilitate your own healing!"
--Melanie Barnum, author of Real Life Intuition
