No matter how young you are or where you're starting from, you are a future millionaire. Declare it. Know it. Demand it. And, with help from bestselling author and self-made millionaire Rachel Rodgers, start working toward it. Future Millionaire is filled with insights on how to develop the right mindset and build smart money habits that will allow you to follow your dreams, build your wealth, and maximize your potential.

Rachel Rodgers--author of We Should All Be Millionaires and creator of her own eight-figure business--knows what it's like to be broke. She also knows what it's like to rise above your circumstances and radically change your future. Now, in her first book for young adults, Rodgers empowers readers 13 and up to do the same.

Future Millionaire unpacks all the financial concepts you never learned about in school, like creating a budget, managing debt, investing your savings, and more. You'll also learn how to:

  • Reframe negative, self-sabotaging thoughts so you can pave the way for future success
  • Invest in yourself by practicing self-care, establishing healthy boundaries, and upgrading your everyday life

  • Use your money to achieve your dreams and make a difference in the world around you

Reviews

This well-organized, inspirational book delivers an engaging and highly accessible road map to financial success for young people. Writing in a conversational tone, Rodgers speaks directly to marginalized groups, including women, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, and disabled individuals, encouraging them to take control of their financial futures. The book is divided into two sections. The first part focuses on the mindset shift necessary to become a millionaire, emphasizing decision-making, setting boundaries, and surrounding yourself with supportive people. The second half provides a and shy;step-by-step approach to making and managing money, offering guidance on entering the workforce, side hustles, investing, and eliminating debt. Throughout, the and shy;author shares her own struggles, making her and shy;advice relatable. Interactive features like 'Try It' activities, charts, lists, and linked worksheets keep readers engaged, while examples of successful female entrepreneurs serve as insight and inspiration. The book also challenges self-sabotaging thoughts and reframes negative beliefs about money, reinforcing the importance of self-care and long-term planning. However, the book's heavy reliance on contemporary trends means that some parts already feel outdated, especially with references to TikTok, specific and shy;banking services, investment strategies, and DEI initiatives in the workplace. Despite this, Rodgers's overall message of investing in yourself, building wealth, and using money to make a difference is informative and motivating. and shy;VERDICT An interesting and well-structured guide for young readers looking to build wealth and break free from financial limitations, though future editions may need periodic updates to keep up with evolving financial trends and political policies.---Lynne Stover
