Jennifer Degl
(Author)
Description
If you enjoy memoirs, this book is a must-read. In this gripping memoir, Jennifer Degl brings her readers on an emotional roller coaster: from the decision to get pregnant -to the birth of her daughter, Joy, seventeen weeks early, and this tiny baby's fight to survive. On the night her daughter was born, Jennifer started a journal on a sheet of paper given to her by a nurse. Once she was discharged from the hospital, a little blue notebook-in which she wrote everything-became Jennifer's constant companion. Five months after the birth of her daughter, Jennifer went to write in her notebook; instead, she sat down and read her journal cover to cover. That's when she knew she had to tell this story. A remarkable story, "From Hope to Joy" is filled with love, determination, strength, hope-and finally Joy. Scroll up and grab your copy todayProduct Details

About the Author
As an only child, Jennifer Degl's daydreams always included being part of a large family. Her favorite television show was-and still is-Little House on the Prairie. When she and her husband, John, decided to try for a fourth child, neither of them had any inkling as to the tumultuous journey that lie ahead. Those closest to Jennifer describe her as stubborn, exceptionally determined, and optimistic-and Jennifer agrees with them. And those are the exact traits that pulled her through her life-threatening pregnancy, the birth of her micro preemie baby, and the first four months of her micro preemie's life in the NICU. Jennifer is a wife, teacher, amateur astronomer and rock collector, but her favorite role is being a mom. She resides in Putnam County, NY, with her husband and four children.
