This early works is a comprehensive and informative collection of folk-songs and current beliefs in Iowa. Practically all of the material in this collection was gathered during the fall and winter of 1931. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
