While honeymooning in a seaside cottage, Amy Robinson Malik and her police detective husband, Ben, witness a small plane crash just off the coast. They hurry out to mount a rescue but find the pilot and his wife dead.
When autopsies reveal traces of poison in the pilot, Ben is called back to Vancouver to assist with the investigation. Soon after, his car is found in a river, and Ben has gone missing. Has he become the third victim, killed because he was getting too close?
When the police refuse to share information on their search for Ben, Amy starts her own investigation to find her husband. But it will take everything she's got and then some because the greatest danger will come from a source she never expected.
