SPELLBINDING LEGAL THRILLER FROM EDGAR NOMINEE PAUL LEVINE "I was sitting at the end of the bar sipping single-malt Scotch when I spotted the tall blond woman with the large green eyes and the small gray gun." The next thing Jake Lassiter knows, the woman pumps three bullets into the man on the next barstool. Lassiter, the linebacker-turned-lawyer, has a new client. She's a stunning South Beach model; the dead man is her wealthy father; and the murder case is a slam dunk for the prosecution. Or is it? WHAT'S THE VERDICT ON FLESH & BONES? "Lassiter is smart, tough, funny, and very human...one of the most entertaining series characters in contemporary crime fiction." - Booklist "The author keeps the suspense high with innovative twists...and touches of humor that spice up the courtroom scenes." - Chicago Tribune "This guy is seriously funny. I like a certain kind of humor and Paul has it! Once you go Paul Levine, you don't go back." - Amazon 5-star review "The most dangerous liaison since Sam Spade and Brigid O'Shaughnessy tangoed in 'The Maltese Falcon.'"- Charlotte News & Observer "Not only has Jake Lassiter inherited the mantle of Travis McGee, Paul Levine has joined Scott Turow and John Grisham as the best legal thriller authors working today." - Amazon 5-star review

About the Author
The author of 20 novels, Paul Levine won the John D. MacDonald fiction award and was nominated for the Edgar, Macavity, International Thriller, Shamus and James Thurber prizes. A former trial lawyer, he wrote twenty-one episodes of the CBS military drama "JAG" and co-created the Supreme Court drama "First Monday" starring James Garner and Joe Mantegna. The international bestseller "To Speak for the Dead" was his first novel and is still in print 27 years after publication. He is also the author of the "Solomon vs. Lord" series and several stand-alone thrillers. His most recent legal thriller is "Bum Rap," a number one bestseller in the Amazon Kindle Store. Described as a "delicious mix of thriller and comic crime novel" in a starred review in Booklist, "Bum Rap" brings Lassiter together with rivals Steve Solomon and Victoria Lord. "Bum Luck," the second of that series, will be published in March 2017. A graduate of Penn State and the University of Miami Law School, Paul divides his time between Miami, Florida and Santa Barbara, California. Visit the author's website at http: //www.paul-levine.com
