About the Author
Mark Green (R-Tennessee) is currently serving as chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security. Raised in Mississippi, he graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army for several years before going to medical school, and returned to it after completing a residency in emergency medicine. After leaving the army for good, Green founded a healthcare company and is currently serving his third term in Congress. He and his wife, Camilla, reside in Clarksville, Tennessee, and have two grown children.
Ralph Nader's unrelenting public advocacy over the years has led to safer cars, medicines, and workplaces, healthier foods, and cleaner air and water. The Atlantic named him one of the 100 most influential figures in American history. Time magazine called him the "U.S.'s toughest customer." He lives (and does battle) in the nation's capital.
