Ann Ingalls is from Cleveland, Ohio, and has worked as a teacher, in factories manufacturing cars, selling shoes and greeting cards, and making doughnuts and ice cream before taking up writing. When she's not writing, she likes to read, play cards, go for long walks, ride her bike, and travel. She now lives in Kansas City, Missouri, and has three lovely children with her husband, Winston. He went to university in London, and then spent ten years working in advertising and editorial illustration.
