About the Author

Molly Fisk is the author of the essay collections Naming Your Teeth; Houston, We Have a Possum; Using Your Turn Signal Promotes World Peace; and Blow-Drying a Chicken, and the poetry collections The More Difficult Beauty; Listening to Winter; Terrain (co-author); and Salt Water Poems. She edited the climate crisis poetry anthology California Fire & Water with a grant from the Academy of American Poets. Her essays have aired weekly as part of the News Hour of KVMR- FM Nevada City, CA since 2005.Fisk is the Inaugural Poet Laureate Emerita of Nevada County, California, and has been awarded grants by the Academy of American Poets, the National Endowment for the Arts, the California Arts Council, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
