Jessica Spanyol gained an MA in illustration with a distinction from the Royal College of Art in 1993. Jessica's first Children's book CARLO LIKES READING was published in 2001 and was based on a book she wrote when she was 6 and a half years old. As a child, Jessica struggled with learning to read. She now visits many schools to lead workshops and is passionate about the ability creativity has to develop self-confidence and the love of books.
Yanitzia Canetti has published books in many genres, including novels, poetry, plays, and children's literature. Yanitzia has received many awards for her work, including the National Literature Award (Cuba) and the White Rose Literature Award (Cuba). She current lives in Boston, Massachusetts with her husband and two children.
