Joseph Goodrich is a Marine Corps pilot, a husband, a dad, and an award-winning children's author. His first two children's books, Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons (2018) and Ellie and Her Emotional Dragons: Ellie's First Day of School (2021), earned 37 national and international book awards, and he strives to help kids understand and manage their emotions through storytelling. With a B.A. from Tufts University, an M.S. from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and an Ed.D. from Northeastern University, Joseph approaches the world of children's literature with curiosity, creativity, and rich psychological insight. He lives in Virginia with his family, dog (Simba), and fish (Finley).
Traci Van Wagoner holds degrees in illustration from Utah State University and in toy design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. A longtime member of SCBWI, Van Wagoner has illustrated many children's books, including The Chemistry of Food for Nomad Press, and her work appears in magazines, newsletters, and on toys and games. She lives in New York.
