About the Author

Masud Ahmed, a Bangladeshi writer was educated at the University of Dhaka and the University of Ulster . Out of Ahmed's creation, nine short films and dramas have been produced and telecast in various TV channels. A number of local awards has been accorded to him in recognition of his books. His wife Rifat Reza is a teacher. As a member of Bangladesh Civil Service he worked as a permanent secretary to the Government and a member of the Planning Commission. Currently, Masud Ahmed is the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. We hope this book will be of particular interest for foreign readers keen to know Bangladesh. This is one of those handful fictions written in English by any Bangladeshi writer about Bangladesh's independence struggle.
