Elizabeth Bridges has been a Critical Care nurse in the Air Force for over 21 years. For the past 5 years, she has served as Deputy Commander of the 59th Clinical Research Squadron and Senior Nurse Researcher at the 59th Medical Wing at Lackland AFB, Texas. In September 2004, she joined the faculty at the University of Washington. Elizabeth is a primary instructor for the US Air Force Critical Care Air Transport Team program, the Critical Care nursing program director at the Defense Institute for Medical Operations, and a core director for the international course Trauma Systems and Disaster Response. This latter course works with host nations around the world to assist them with the development of their trauma and disaster response systems and to build international health care bridges.
