Reviews

an excellent reference and revision resource, especially when time is of the essence

an enjoyable summary of current knowledge on thoracic diseases, whilst always maintaining an eye to the future of our discipline.

The formatting, as well as the focus on microscopic features, immunohistochemistry, and possible differential diagnosis, works well as a resource to be used at the microscope. The photographs are of high quality and have been expanded from the previous edition. Many entities have 20 or even30 representative examples of microscopic images. The pictures contain arrows and descriptions highlighting the pertinent diagnostic features, which is very useful for some of the more complex entities. Overall, this is an excellent resource for thoracic surgical pathology. Reviewed by Linton David Sellen, MSc/MD (University of Manitoba College of Medicine) for Doody's Review Service
