Description
Inspirational words of wisdom passed down from older generations to the young.
Imagine the words your grandmother might say if she wrote you a letter. Perhaps she would encourage you to embrace the rain, or shine your light for all to see. Perhaps she would remind you to take up space and choose your path, knowing that whichever path you take will be the right one because it's yours. Perhaps she would tell you you are loved. Perhaps she would start the letter, "Dearest One".
A gorgeous keepsake for a growing child, this gentle tale will help little ones everywhere navigate the joys and sorrows of childhood with positivity, strength, and love.

Arielle Dance, PhD, is a Black queer advocate for invisible illnesses currently residing in New Jersey. Through her writing and advocacy, Arielle helps promote disability visibility, recognize inclusive family structures, and navigate grief and loss.
Jenny Duke has always loved books and making pictures, so children's book illustration is her perfect occupation. Since graduating from the MA program in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge University, she has been working on a number of projects, several based in East Anglia where the skies, water and light inspire much of her work. Her books always begin with drawing, but she never knows until later whether she will use paint, print, collage or digital techniques to complete them.
