About the Author
Carol-Ann Hoyte is a Canadian children's poet who burst onto the young readers' literary scene in 2008. She is the creator and coeditor of the award-winning international children's anthology And the Crowd Goes Wild!: A Global Gathering of Sports Poems. Her poems has been published in print and online publications that include The Poetry Friday Anthology series spearheaded by Sylvia Vardell and Janet Wong, and the highly regarded School Magazine Australia. A great fan of novels in verse, limericks, and riddle poems, Hoyte keeps busy taking care of and reading to her favorite boy of all, her son, when she is not working as an assistant librarian at Selwyn House School.
