About the Author
SHELLY SANDERS is the bestselling author of Daughters of the Occupation, which received a starred review in Kirkus. The novel was inspired by her grandmother's family, many of whom were killed during the Holocaust in Latvia. Sanders began her writing career as a freelance journalist working for national publications including the Toronto Star, National Post, Maclean's, Canadian Living, Reader's Digest and Today's Parent.
