Reviews

Sorg, a young award-winning artist, creates precise drawings that capture the extreme realism and character of her subjects. Hers is a brief manual for beginners. For intermediate students, Kullberg, who runs a popular colored pencil web site, reviews in her book examples of mediocre work, analyses problems (like "Chiclet teeth"), and transforms each into a stronger image. Advanced artists will revel in Nickelsen's Colored Pencil Bible, filled with inspired, luminous techniques. - Library Journal
