About the Author
Astrid Lindgren was the creator of many beloved children's books, most notably the books about Pippi Longstocking. Lindgren was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Medal for her contribution to international children’s literature. She was born and raised in Sweden, and died in 2002 at the age of 94.
