About the Author

His theatrical training and his experience in stage productions allow Caracolino to keep shame at bay but, incomprehensibly, what he likes most about acting or playing music are the moments of spontaneity and interaction with the public, something that almost always happens among children. Currently, he combines his work as an accompanying teacher at the Colibrí school, with the storytelling project "Contante y Sonante" and the music concerts of "Caracolino".
Canizales is a Colombian author living in Mallorca (Spain). His books have been translated into several languages and released by the most prestigious publishers. He was awarded the Cuatrogatos Foundation prize for his book Guapa.

Reviews

Before reading the books, adult readers may want to download the QR code on the back cover of the books to hear Caracolino sing the songs. The music is simple and straightforward enough that it will be easy to sing along with the books. Little ones will enjoy the illustrations. The humans depicted are multiethnic.

Add this to the sorely empty bookshelf dedicated to toddler songs in Spanish. - Kirkus
This book is part of the Canta Libro series and is entirely in Spanish. For those who do not know Spanish the illustrations help to tell the story. In addition, there is a QR code on the back of the book that shares the song sung by Caracolino. - Youth Services Book Review
