Cirque Press is a partnership of Sandra Kleven, publisher, and Michael Burwell, editor. Ten years ago, we recognized that works of talented writers in the region were going unpublished, and the Press was launched to bring those works to fruition. We publish fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, and we seek to produce art that provides a deeper understanding about the region and its cultures. The writing of our authors is significant, personal, and strong.

Reviews

There is such wild beauty in Eric Braman's debut collection of poems Bury Me in Cherry Blossoms. Reading it, you will feel as though you've wandered into someplace untouched, are witnessing some creature-exotic, almost endangered-show you around its natural habitat as though it had always been expecting you. Braman's poetry is chameleon-one minute a salve for wounds, the next a hammer to both build and break, and after that a yapping puppy wanting to play. Let yourself be healed. Let yourself be broken. Let yourself know the unconditional love of this poet scratching at your door.

-Eric Morago, author of Feasting on Sky and publisher of Moon Tide Press
