About the Author

Keri Margaret O'Shea, formerly O'Brien, lives in Bedford, New York, with her husband and four children. She summered in the Adirondack Park and grew up playing in the woods just like the Bartholomew brothers. Her first husband, of ten years, died of a brain tumor after a two-and-a-half-year illness. Reading When Dinosaurs Die, ad nauseum, she pledged to her three small children that she would write a book to help others cope with sudden and anticipatory grief. Bedtime reading was the only tool that helped her, as a parent, navigate the discussion of grief.
