About the Author
Danilo Kis was a Serbian novelist, short story writer, essayist and translator. His best known works include Hourglass, A Tomb for Boris Davidovich, and The Encyclopedia of the Dead. John K. Cox is a professor and department head in history. The History of Serbia, Slovenia: Evolving Loyalties, and translations of novels by Danilo Kis and Ivan Cankar are among his chief publications. He lives in Fargo, North Dakota.
