Description
Strong commitment. Abiding passion. Deep expertise in your chosen field. All these are the hallmarks of a typical nonprofit executive. But it's not enough. To make bold changes to our world, you need to inspire others to follow your lead. Don't let your nonprofit be limited to what you can do individually. Multiply your impact. Make the leap from mission-driven expert to organizational leader. You bring the passion and this book will help you achieve powerful results. Beyond Passion is the story of one executive director's journey from expert to leader. By stepping back, asking important questions, reaching out for help, engaging her team and taking an honest assessment of her leadership strengths and gaps, one leader is able to steer her organization out of a rut and onto a growth path. She comes to realize that, like most nonprofit executives, she has focused on programs and donors while neglecting to develop her leadership effectiveness. Leadership is something you can learn. And this book helps you take responsibility for that learning. You will explore do-able skills: bridging, weaving, detecting, growing and flexing. By honing core nonprofit leadership abilities, you will surpass your organizational objectives. Your mission needs your passion and your strong leadership.Product Details
