Ron Mumford was a journalism major at the University of North Texas and has worked for many newspapers and magazines. During his time in the U.S. Army, he was a Combat Correspondent (P.I.O.) and a Combat Photographer. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for his service. During his time in combat, he too, had his own super-natural experience... Later, Ron got into sales and marketing, started up his own companyand took it public on NASDAQ only to see the government change some regulations and the wealth that he had accumulated went up in smoke. He became a licensed financial consultant with two of the nation's largest investment firms, helping people do retirement planning and choosing smart investments."At some point in my life, I wanted to be like John Grisham, write a best-selling novel, get an agent who would present my first novel to one of the Big 5 publishing houses and get a million dollar advance...Wishful thinking! But I have written five books and every minute I've spent on the writing and creating has been sheer joy!"Now I write full time, go fishing a lot on Lake Conroe and live in Montgomery, Texas, northwest of Houston. I'm a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church (I'm not a cowboy) and teach the Bible to a small group. Just doing the three things I love doing most besides being with family.
