Reviews
"This treasure plumbs the depths where Zen and the Bible meet, in the silence of pure love. Habito has crafted a new spiritual classic that will nurture the inner life for posterity." --Acharya Judith Simmer-Brown, author, Dakini' s Warm Breath: The Feminine Principle in Tibetan Buddhism"Ruben Habito was challenged by his own Zen teacher, Yamada Koun Roshi, to 'learn to use language that your Christian audience may readily understand.' In Be Still and Know, he has met that challenge beautifully; and we, his readers, whether Zen practitioners, Christians, or both, can be grateful for the treasures he has opened for us." --Patrick Gallagher, Zen teacher, Oak Tree in the Garden sangha, Toronto, Canada"This volume would be well used in a world religion class or one on religious pluralism. The vocabulary (along with the author's clearexplanations) is accessible and he illustrates many abstract conceptswith engaging, often moving, stories." --Kenneth J. Zanca, in Catholic Library World
