About the Author

Stewart D. Friedman is the Practice Professor of Management at The Wharton School. In 1991, he founded both the Wharton Leadership Program, initiating the required MBA and undergraduate leadership courses, and the Wharton Work/Life Integration Project. While on leave from Wharton, from 1999 to 2001, he served as the senior executive responsible for leadership development at Ford Motor.
