Reviews
Selected for the CBC January 2025 Hot Off The Press List.
"The text emphasizes that nature is fun and nothing to be afraid of but everyone should be prepared just in case something happens. The illustrations are bright, colorful cartoon characters but detailed enough that you could recognize the animals in the wilderness. The book could almost be thought of as a simplified scouting manual." --Christine Kelly, Youth Services Book Review
"This is a handy little book for kids to offer practical tips for safety in the great outdoors. It calls it a survival guide." --Goodreads/NetGalley-Educator
"I think, for the most part, this book is good as an intro to animal safety when hiking. There was an ideal amount of information, making this book great for little ones." --Goodreads/NetGalley-Reviewer
"As someone who likes to be with nature, I found this book really helpful. Kids will enjoy learning about being safe in nature and so will their adults." --NetGalley-Educator
