About the Author
Lewis Carroll was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (1832-1898), an English author, mathematician, and logician. He is best known for his works Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
English artist Henry Holiday (1839-1927) worked in the Pre-Raphaelite school and created many works of art, including over 300 commissioned stained-glass windows and the illustrations for Lewis Carroll's The Hunting of the Snark.
Sir John Tenniel (1820-1914) was a British illustrator, graphic humorist and political cartoonist whose work was prominent during the second half of the19th century. Tenniel is considered important to the study of that period's social, literary, and art histories and was knighted by Queen Victoria for his artistic achievements in 1893.
