Reviews

AFTER YOU DIED is a gripping psychological thriller with a setting I won't soon forget: a chilling, real-life reform school for boys. Poirier's vivid writing and the novel's haunted narrator hooked me from the start.--Cat Winters, author of THE RAVEN'S TALE

Gripping and atmospheric, immersive and thrilling, AFTER YOU DIED is a heart-pounding mystery around lost memory and what happens when past blurs into present. Asher is a protagonist you can't help but root for even when you're wondering about what he may have done in those missing hours... --Wendy Heard, author of SHE'S TOO PRETTY TO BURN

AFTER YOU DIED is one of the more riveting books I've read in ages. Dea Poirer pulls you in from the very first chapter, and takes you on one hell of a journey. Get this book for the genre-bending, stay for the incredibly gorgeous writing.--Amina Akhtar, author of #FASHIONVICTIM

An intense, powerfully written story that combines elements of gothic fiction, the supernatural, and the psychological thriller in perfect balance. Poirier builds an incredible sense of dread and longing through the story, delivering a novel that will haunt you for a long time afterwards.--CrimeReads

A thrilling, incredibly atmospheric read that had me gripping the edge of my seat in suspense more times than I'd like to admit. I could truly FEEL the oppressive Florida heat, and the chill of eyes watching from the woods. It is a wonderfully dark and spooky book and I can't wait for the next one.--Fran Dorricott, author of AFTER THE ECLIPSE, THE FINAL CHILD, and THE LIGHTHOUSE

Nicely written...The engrossing narrative switches between Asher's reality and the fantasy world of his increasingly disturbing dreams, until the two realms seem to merge.--Publishers Weekly
